On the calamity

Of losing my sanity

What I have weighing on my chest

Rotting flesh grotesque

Furiously scribbling letters I can’t shout

A routine unplanned bout

Veins pump nerves shiver

Hands quiver just a sliver

Through the sorrow

I find hope in tomorrow

Smile when I want the  cry

Even when my brain begins to fry

I will never say goodbye

 I’m meant to fly
